Hello again,

I think you're right that it's just another attempt to make money. I remember when ICANN decided against the xxx TLD back in 2000, so I was very disappointed to learn they had reversed their decision.

The xxx TLD is a solution without a problem. I sincerely hope that nothing bad comes from ICANN's decision.

Thank's for the comment! You make some good points there. I quoted you in my post above :)

Thanks for bringing up the RFC too - it shows that people have been talking about this for over a year now.

Of course the ONLY people who will benefit from this is ICAN - so naturally it was pushed trhough, despite protests from the porn industry, the anti-porn advocates and internet community in general. This is all about money, but they do not realize the implications here.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is crazy! Everybody's criticising Bush for opposing the XXX TLD, yet very few people are worried about the implications of having an XXX TLD.

For my own take on the issue, please <a HREF="http://darkauthority.blogspot.com/2005/08/internet-gets-red-light-district.html" rel="nofollow">see here</A>.
