Don’t go all Jack Thompson on Virginia Tech

The first person who tries to tie Virginia Tech shooting to violent video games, movies or music is a despicable publicity whore. Anyone willing to exploit this tragedy for media face time, or use it to support their agenda to censor media content is a pathetic excuse for a human being. Every time something like this happens, all these disgusting slimy turds crawl out of the woodwork and demand media face time to preach to us about the evils of this or that.

If I hear even a pip out of Jack Thompson about this, I will personally roundhouse kick him in the nuts. Seriously!

Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

I sincerely hope Jach Thompson doés squeak one tiny bit, I’d sure like to see him getting kicked ass!
And also for your president, instead of tightening the weapon law, he just goes ‘Civilians have to obey the law, no problemo then’. Stupid weapon lobby’s…

Pffft, I’ll stay in Belgium i think …

While I agree that our president is incompetent, I don’t think gun control is the answer here.

Besides, gun laws are decided at the state level, and that’s really where I like them to be. This way the people in each state can make access to legal guns as easy or as difficult as they feel comfortable with.

Using this to push gun control laws is almost as bad as using it to push moral censorship laws on video games. We should not be taking away people’s liberties because some tragedy has happened.

From what I’ve heard, JT has already tried to make some link to video games

He truly is a despicable human being - using a tragedy like this to push his own agenda. Goddamn ambulance chaser

Oh man! You guys are at it again. lol

Hmm… Everyone seems to be all up in arms about the 2nd amendment (pardon the pun). I don’t really like the idea of government getting involved here setting some standards and etc. As I said before - it’s a decision that is best made on a state level where people can establish a set of rules and regulations that fits their lifestyle, and affects their safety.

Seriously, every time something bad happens lately there are people out there yelling “OMG! We have to many rights! Let’s throw some of them away!”

Trading in liberties for security is a really bad deal.

Also the extreme opposite scenario: England where all the criminals have guns, but the police constables have only nightsticks and where they employ big brother style surveillance with cameras and loudspeakers is hardly something worth imitating no?

and it turns out that he had no video games, consoles or even a TV in his dorm room… one in the eye for Jack

As for police only having nightsticks here in the UK.. no longer true - whilst the average cop doesn’t carry a gun I believe it is available if they want to carry one. Obviously riot police would also have some more serious weaponry (rubber bullets and such like)

Haha! Nice. Jack ends up looking like a douchebag on national TV… Again. mrgreen

Hey, maybe that’s the problem! Not enough video games and TV.
