<description>
You can start learning e107 ;)
Hey check out my blog &lt;a href="http://blog.geeksparadox.com" title="TeamColtra's Blog" rel="nofollow"&gt;My Blog&lt;/a&gt; and tell me what you think
I could... But I wanted to do actually create something from scratch that I could call my own, or even put on a resume as a hobby pet project.

A twitter client seems attractive because it let's me play with some Java features I haven't had occasion to work with before.

I never had to send GET and POST requests from a Java app before. It seems relatively straightforward, but it is something new.

I also never really had to do much XML/RSS/JSON parsing, so I'm looking forward to trying out different ways of doing this.

And it gives me a chance to practice my Swing GUI building skills. Or maybe I can learn to use SWT...

Btw, what is e107 written in? Is it PHP?

Also, I'm totally stumped that you got a Wordpress blog. Yes, come to the dark side. Join us in the Wordpress world! LOL

Personally I find WP really easy to use, easy to maintain, and very configurable. But that's me. I'm sure you'll be happy with it. :)

This is a wee bit spammy, but since it is sort of on topic I'll bite. The website looks pretty interesting. Thanks for the link. :)</description>
