If I remember correctly it was relatively new off-the-shelf Dell with 2GHz CPU and 1GB of RAM running XP Pro. Also, it's probably worth noting that we are suing an older version of Quickbooks (2004 if I'm not mistaken).

Can you tell me the configuration of the workstation on the LAN running Quickbooks? I have a remote user VPN'ng into a workstation and attempting to run quickbooks. It is running horribly slow and is unworkable. After reviewing my options it seems that buying another server just to have terminal services. I was relived to read your post because thought that it would work the by RDP'ng into the LAN. Please post back or email me. I need to make a reccomendation quickly.

Thanks,
