What shows do you watch at the moment?

All the shows that I watch religiously are on hiatus right now so I’m looking for new stuff to watch (or catch up on). I’m wondering what do you guys watch these days. Maybe I’m missing some really good stuff that is being aired right now.

The two big shows I can watch and discuss at length are Lost and Battlestar Galactica. I know that a lot of people already gave up on Lost, and complained that the series jumped the shark, but I don’t thinks so. I’m still watching it, and I still find it interesting. And with an end date in place (what was it - 2 or 3 more seasons) I’m confident that the series will regain it’s direction. I will give the writers the benefit of the doubt, and hope that they will resolve the series in a satisfying and compelling way.

There are some shark jumping whiners in the BSG camp also. But you know what - it’s almost over, and I enjoyed every second of it. The BSG cliffhanger season finale was a total mind fuck. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

On my list of shows to check out I have Heroes. I keep hearing good things about it everywhere. So at one point or another I will definitely try to watch few episodes to find out what all this buzz is all about.

I also watch the stuff on HBO lately, although I don’t consider myself being a fan of any of their current shows. More of a casual viewer. HBO seems to be just about the only station that is airing new content right now. P

I like to watch Entourage from time to time. Some people hate that show, but for me it’s the kind of amusing, feel-good, entertainment. I also watch Big Love - mostly because my cousin loves that show. So we watch it together. It’s more of a chick-flick kind of a thing, but unlike some other crap out there it actually is pretty well written.

I caught few episodes of John From Cincinati. It was a bit intriguing, but I think the surfer stuff is costing them potential viewers. I know I avoided it at first precisely because of that theme. Also, I think it’s one of those shows that will never really provide adequate answers to the little mysteries it creates. Like who exactly is John, or why did that guy float in the mid air, and etc…

So what do you watch? Are there any good shows out there that I’m missing?

There are a few good shows still on. I recommend “The Closer” on TNT. New episodes are on Monday nights.

I also got hooked on “Code Monkeys” on G4. It is extremely warped and requires some knowledge of the computer industry from the eighties.

The TV shows I record on the DVR right now are:

      Burn Notice on USA
      http://www.usanetwork.com/series/burnnotice/

      Damages on FX Networks
      http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/damages/

The Kill Point on Spike TV
      http://www.spiketv.com/index.html#shows/ss/sid=10192/t=ss

^^ Apparently, they have webisodes which I didn’t know about until now. They also have a game about the show on their website. Looks like a well written FPS.

These are all new seasons and the shows are great.

All my shows are between seasons too.. stupid TV

I had Joost for a while but uninstalled it when I realised there was nothing on there I wanted to watch, has the selection of channels improved much recently?

Thinking about it, I think the 3 things I would have watched from the list of channels I saw turned out to be US only.. might still be the case that the good stuff isn’t available in the UK

Same here. There is not much on Joost that I actually want to watch. I wanted to look up stuff like Heroes or some of the shows mentioned here but nope - not there. Oh well. There is always tv-links, torrents, dvd’s, reruns and etc.

Definitely check out Burn Notice. Also, HBO has Dexter, but it’s on hiatus, too. Heroes is a must, if you’re a fan of comics. And Jekyll (also HBO) kinda has it’s claws in me (the kids got me watching that one).
