Twitbar, Twit and Wayd are all Gnome desktop apps. The shell, vim and emacs versions didn't really interest me that much. Twitux also had multiple Gnome dependencies and wasn't working that great for me. Nothing as nice and polished as Snitter or Spaz. Yep, I tried most of them but I didn’t like most of them.
