End of Evangelion: Episode 26

Profound, moving, and just wacky enough to make you go WTF.

This is anime at it’s best. This episode will probably haunt me for a while now.

I am serious when I say this, do yourself a favor and skip the last two episodes of the series. After watching the complete EOA I can honestly tell you that they are inessential. Episode 26 covers the Shinji’s internal struggle during the instrumentality event quite well. And this time, his monologue is much more real, and tangible. You can relate to him, and feel his fear, pain and etc…

That, and you get to see what is going on in the outside world. This is possibly one of the most vivid, disturbing and mind boggling apocalyptic scenarios ever depicted on the screen. This is a perfect ending for the series. Creepy, disturbing and bizarre - and but much more comprehensible than the abstract mind fuck we saw on TV.

End of Evangelion: Episode 25

OMFG! Awesome!

I have been sitting on End of Evangelion for months now, but I never watched. I wanted to finish watching the series on TV before I see the movie. The series ended, and I completely forgot that i had it stashed away. Last night I was procastinating (I have this big take home test you see) so I digged it out and decided to watch the first episode before going to sleep.

OMFG! I am still recovering…

This is how the series should have ended. None of that bulshit philosophical mumbo jumbo. It was action, drama and suspense! I was on the edge of my seat all the time. More of the mysteries behind the second impact, Adam, Lilith, Nerve and etc are unveiled. This is exactly what you would expect from the series finale. I am absolutely in awe!

I have yet to see Episode 26 tonight so I’ll probably post more on this topic.

If you liked the series, but were dissapointed by the ending, you should definitely watch End of Evangelion! If you liked the ending, then you should still check it out because it is awesome! And if you hate evangelion… Well, then my friend, you are dead to me! P
