If theyre so bothered by privacy why are they even using these kinds of internet “services” (the quote marks are there to show that i dont think of them as real services)

I value my privacy and wouldnt want people being able to find out all about me from a public website so i dont use myspace (also cause its horribly lame), Bebo or any of these things

I also keep up to date on the privacy extensions for firefox – trackmenot, a cookie manager (google cookies = blocked, i dont like the stuff i hear about their “privacy” control), stealther for when i really want to go invisible, i have noscript installed but leave it off most of the time

pretty much all youre going to find out about me from the internet would come from the occasional blog comment like this one.. and the odd forum, but not many, and i keep my cards close to my chest

True, but isn’t that the point of a a social networking app? I don’t really mind the mini-feeds. Or at least they don’t bother me that much.

It will be interesting to see if they will take them out because of user complaints. :mrgreen:

I know as well as you that its all public information, just like our blogs. Doesn’t mean i’ll have to like the new setup. I mean hey, now i can actually know how my friends are doing in their lives; w.o even having to lift a finger.
