most of the times that ass appears in the bible are part of the phrase “and it came to pass” or anything with donkeys or Assyria involved (some of the stuff with donkeys can be misinterpreted in very amusing ways

Indeed it is worse and sounds like a porn movie. The strangest thing is surely it was the judeo-christian influence that was so offended to have the sign changed, as I know of no other religion that would care one way or the other. definately wasn’t the pagan influence. yet ass is a very common word in the bible and in english as most have one! lol.
