From what I know of you, your rant will make a good post. ;)

I have yet to watch Razor. Maybe this week – have to get myself back in the loop before the show starts again. :)

Again, late to the show, but with it starting back up again soon I’ve been thinking about it again.

Maybe the virus is sort of Psychosomatic? Like it’s code that causes the individual Cylon’s body to make itself sick?

Did you watch Razor? I think a lot was made of the whole “all this has happened before, and will happen again” thing. Maybe the answer to your questions about the temple is in there somewhere?

Actually I have a big issue with that whole “virus transmitted via upload” thing cause it makes no sense to me. I mean, there is no biological link between the dying Cylon body and it’s clone. So the virus theoretically would need to attack neural tissues in such a way that memory upload would actually preserve the viral DNA strands in the affected brain cells and thus trigger replication in the host body.

I always thought that Cylon resurrection tech simply rebuilt the neural connections based on memory mappings sent at the time of death. So the virus would have to somehow reroute neurons and… Ugh… I don’t know – it just doesn’t make sense.

So I figured that Cylons are just freaked by the virus and actual upload of the infected mind would do didlly squat to a base star. But then again, I’m not a BSG writer so you might be right. :)

Just to be annoying, I’ll disagree. The “disease” was supposed to be able to be transmitted to the resurrection ships when people died of the disease. If that’s the case, then maybe her immunity can be transmitted as well. We’ll see I suppose.
