Not really. It was the same setup. It’s probably why it took me so long to figure out what was happening.

Hdw – LOL. Actually I just balanced it on my leg so that the fan was out in the open. It got much cooler this way. Then I moved it to a table and propped it up so that the fan was not obstructed.

Funny thing – when I ran full diagnostics on that machine few days ago it was also sitting on my bed. I actually left it running there, ate dinner, came back and it was still fine.

I was going to suggest overheating, but you got it already. :)

Too hot to touch, so you put it in your lap… I see a problem there.
