Windows probably wouldn’t let you delete all the system files while running even with Administrative privileges.

Although it will for some reason let you delete NTLDR file without which you won’t be able to boot. :P

I think the beauty of unix is that it will fully protect you from messing up the system if you run as user, but will gladly let you shoot yourself in the foot if you do dumb things as root. :)

hehe.. they deleted a pretty big chunk of the important stuff and the thing was still recoverable, awesome

I think I can be fairly confident in saying that if I went to the main install directory in Windows and randomly deleted some stuff that it wouldn’t be too happy to play ball afterwards.

Anyway, those guys = awesome, in their place I would have no idea where to start
