@ dan reynolds:

Dan, for future reference please consider the following:

– Direct email is better than public comments for this sort of thing
– You should be using an email associated with reynoldsunwrapped.com rather than generic hotmail
– It’s probably not a good idea to publicize your email in plain text in a public comment thread

Anyone can make a hotmail account and claim to be owner of a cartoon. If you send an email from the same address listed on your website it adds legitimacy to the request.

But to show I treat absolutely pointless, brand destroying and fan alienating copyright posturing motions very seriously I have removed the image in question. Thanks, and have a wonderful day.

Well, it all makes sense indeed… :-) I had forgotten the secularism aspect of it of course. It’s a shame we don’t have a day like that here. I mean Christians and Jewish have Christmas and Hanoeka about at the same time, but Muslims have a moving calendar and the (more) numerous atheists have nothing at all. Maybe we should propose some European wide religious independent holiday.

@Alphast: Well, it’s a nice family holiday. Also it is the only holiday that is observed by ALL US residents. Christmas is big, but you have to keep in mind that non-Christians don’t observe it. So Thanksgiving is something we all share.

In my family Christmas is still a bigger deal – but we are all immigrants. It’s much more important for people who were born here and grew up with it. :)

Oh, and we get the day off – or two. Can’t argue with that!
