I just think the top ad is ruining the clean look. Just one mans opinion – don’t need to change it. If it gets a few clicks, earns you a few pennies, and helps keep this blog going, I’m happy to ignore it – or maybe occasionally click the odd one ‘out of interest’ :)
BTW the ones lower on the page are fine – I guess it’s just being hit with an add as soon as the page opens.

@mcai8sh4: Yeah, I should have worked orange in there somehow. Maybe I will mess with the header/footer images to make them more orange. :)

As for the ads – I used to have an add there, then I removed it, and now I put it back there. I’m messing around with add placement cause my Adsense earnings dwindled down to nothing lately. I haven’t gotten a check from Google in months and I’m guessing it’s because I took several add-blocks from the site when I put the new header in.

Google Analytics seems to think that the lack of monies from google has nothing to do with the traffic which has been pretty consistent though it fluctuates. So I’m experimenting.

The adds help to pay for hosting.

Anyway, if it’s too ugly I’ll move it again.

I tend to look through /dev/random from time to time… usually every couple of weeks. I guess it saves me trawling the web for little nuggets of quick amusement. New theme looks nice, although I’d have stuck with your almost trademark orange for the header.

One thing I’ve never noticed, when I’ve come to the comments, google has kindly put a shit ugly banner ad right below your header on… it makes it look cheap. Has this always happened and I’m dumb, or is this a new ‘feature’?
