Anyways, I enabled them.

Loved Zombieland! Not as good as Shawn of the Dead, but good nonetheless.

On a side note: for some reason, comments are closed on your Dragon Age Origins post. Or is it just my browswer fudging up?

@ ZeWrestler:

LOL! Yes!

@ Dave:

It’s more like “Shaun of the Dead: The American Version”. If you look at American comedy as a whole you will see that irony and cleverness is not a very popular approach for some reason. Not that we don’t appreciate it – as evidenced by the popularity of the aforementioned Shaun of the Dead, Monty Python and British humor in general. American comedy usually takes a more direct, approach.

In fact it would be an interesting to do a cross comparison between Shaun and Zombieland to see how the two different schools of comedy approach the same topic.

I didn’t like this movie so much.
There are some funny moments, but in my opinion is just a “Shaun of the Dead for dummies”: the basic idea is the same (“Let’s make a funny zombie movie”), but without the cleverness and the irony of the british film.
I had lots of expectations before watching Zombieland, and at the end I was very disappointed.

This is the part where they’re going to tell you who to call =)

I couldn’t stop laughing the second time i saw it in theater.

@ Mart:

Well, it worked in Shaun of the Dead. In fact that conversation was probably a tip of the hat reference to that fine British zombie flick. Cause that’s what Zombieland does.

And yes – the BM scene was hilarious. Then again I saw it coming. I mean dressing up as a zombie to scare people is probably not the best thing to do during an actual outbreak. Especially when all the survivors are armed and will shoot anything that even remotely looks like a zombie without thinking about it.

MINOR SPOILER ALERT!!!

I wonder if it’s true that if you look and act like a zombie, you won’t get targeted. :P

And the B*** M****y scene where he tried to scare the protagonist was one of the most stupid-est hilarious thing I’ve ever seen in my movie life.
