I think perhaps a color and number coded spreadsheet with a notes section may be the way to go for me. That, or just ask my boss what he thinks is the most important thing to be working on…

You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, and a calendar.
Syncs with Evernote, and also comes with mobile-web version, and Android and iPhone apps.

That one supports custom fields, so makes it easier to adjust it to any projects…
I still prefer a whiteboard with post-it notes, but with team working in different locations – smartQ helps.

Trello also have a pretty neat Android app. I prefer http://kanbanery.com to Trello for it’s awsomeness – though it has a one user, two board limit on the free version, and no Android app yet.
