Hehe, same here. But PHP can be used to create somewhat sane, structured applications. It just takes some effort.

Oh I’ve run into it. I’m still maintaining an application I foolishly developed in PHP when I was younger. These days though, I would never get involved in anything else that uses PHP. It’s ASP.Net all the way for me.

That is very true. :P Nevertheless it remains one of the most popular, and most widely deployed server side web languages to date. Hence, chances are you will run into it at some point are quite high.
