Interesting. Pendragon baked some of this stuff into the mechanics with its personality traits and passions (e.g. “Hate (Orkney clan) 12”). A character also got a number of “distinctive features” depending on his or her appearance characteristic. A character with average appearance would get one such feature, while a character with high or low appearance would get progressively more the further their score deviated from the mean: the idea was that characters with high appearance would choose (mostly) positive features (“raven hair”, “piercing gaze”), while those with low would choose (mostly) negative ones (“big nose”, “hairy hands”).
