I played Broken Age start to finish over the course of a Saturday with my son, Evan who is 8. It was the second point and click game he’s ever played (the first was a clever one with tiny robots called Puzzle Bots which we played a year ago. Great intro to point and click gaming and my boy loves him some robots) and it affected him quite a bit. I distinctly remember after Vellas escape from Mog Chothra at the end of the first Maidens feast, Evan looked at me with HUGE eyes and exclaimed in a hushed voice filled with awe and excitement: “Papa- this game is exciting!
I think the message(s)/story got a little muddled with the good chunk of the rest of Vellas story, but boy it made an impact my son, for sure.
We both look forward to Act 2. I hope they pull it off.
