I just realized that getting a FeedBurner account was probably one of the smartest things I have done since I started blogging. As you can see I jumped ship and decided to host my own blog. Along with it came the change of blogging platform and etc. Usually this would mean that I would have to re-submit my feed to all the blog aggregators, and set up a new LJ syndication feed.
But with Feedburner, my RSS feed is independent from my host and blogging platform. Thus, all I needed to do was to update my Feedburner account info, and my LJ syndication and most of my blog agregator subscriptions will roll over seemlessly to my new host. Kick ass!
I only regret that I was not very consistent with my feed usage. In many places I used the native blogger atom feed instead of the feedburner.
