I just found this gem via Extra Life. This is a deleted scene from the original Star Wars depicting Luke meeting Biggs on Tatoine. Let me refresh your memory – remember that scene when Luke finally gets to the Rebel Base on Yavin and he meets his old friend? Yup, that’s Biggs – and in this scene he lets Luke know that he is planning to join the Rebellion. Freaken awesome!
Embeded Movie Temporarily Removed [DIRECT-LINK]
For me this is a really important scene. It has foreshadowing, it has background information on rebellion, empire and etc, and character development. Why did they cut it out? And why didn’t Lucas put it back into the Special Edition?
Please someone explain to me, how that stupid scene when Han steps on Jabba’s tail is more important story-wise than this? WTF?

YouTube seems to be having trouble streaming this video so I temporarily removed the embeded vid, and replaced it with a link to the movie. The empty white space the broken movie leaves just irks me.
