Here are some Star Wars fan films that captured my attention lately.
First up, is Troops – an amazingly well done and hilarious Star Wars themed spoof of COPS. It is complete with the “Bad Boys” intro song, and commentaries from Tatoine Storm Troopers. This also explains how exactly did Uncle Bend die. Absolutely freakin awesome!
Episode III – The Lost Hope is probably the silliest and capiest parody I have seen in ages. Anakin is doing totally over the top Keanu Reves style acting, Obi One is alcoholic, Mace Windu is an angry black man complaining about racist stuff, R2D2 likes golden showers and Jar Jar gets assassinated. It really made me laugh. Watch it!
You should also check out Office Space Wars and Napoleon Skywalker. The former is a live action thing (quite decent acting actually), while the later is a Robot Chicken style action figure stop animation. Both are really funny and worth watching.
Finally, Ryan vs. Dorkman and Art of the Lightsaber are awesome fan made lightsaber duel scenes. I posted both of these in the past, but they are so good that I just felt they should be included here again.
