Web of Lies

Bush

In his recent blog entry, Ara Pehlivanian asks a very interesting question: how come Clinton was impeached for lying about sex, but Bush and his cabinet gets away with a whole web of lies that got us into Iraq?

I think the answer is simple here.

Clinton was a democrat surrounded by republicans who wanted him out of the office. Bush is a republican, surrounded by his buddies, business partners, yes men, and cronies. American public had very little to do with the impeachment. This was a political power play from the beginning to the end.

The people who worked behind the scenes to orchestrate the Clinton scandal are the same people helped to install Bush in the office. And they will not allow to get their guy nailed in the same way they have nailed Bill. This is why Bush never testifies under an oath.

  1. I have a theory, that people (the American people) don’t care because they have everything they want. They’re entertained unto numbness. But, take away their xbox, blockbuster, SUVs and air conditioning and you’ll have a public outcry. That’s probably also the reason why they went to war for oil in the first place. To keep the status quo.

Nah, we went to war because Sadam was dancing around OPEC regulations and selling more oil than he was supposed to, helping to decrease to price per barrel. They also wanted to trade oil using euros instead of dollars.

Both things would deeply cut into the American Big Oil™ profit margins. Conversely Chaney and Bush both have crazy money invested in Oil sector.

Since we got into Iraq, gas prices were slowly going up. They skyrocketed after Katrina, then they fell down a bit – but it is still and upward momentum.

We went to Iraq to sit on oil and drive prices up, while handing out multi billion dollars military contracts to friends and family.

Impeach Bush yourself! This is much more than just a petition.

There’s a little known and rarely used clause of the in the rules for the House of Representatives which sets forth the various ways in which a president can be impeached. Only the House Judiciary Committee puts together the Articles of Impeachment, but before that happens, someone has to initiate the process.

That’s where we come in. In addition to the State-by-State method, one of the ways to get impeachment going is for individual citizens like you and me to submit a memorial. ImpeachforPeace.org has created a new memorial based on one which was successful in impeaching a federal official in the past. You can find it on their website as a PDF.

You can initiate the impeachment process yourself by downloading the memorial, filling in the relevant information in the blanks (your name, state, etc.), and sending it in.

More information on the precedent for submitting an impeachment
memorial, and the House Rules on this procedure, can also be found at
    the above address.

If you have any doubts that Bush has committed crimes warranting
    impeachment, read this page: http://ImpeachForPeace.org/evidence/

If you’re concerned that impeachment might not be the best strategy
at this point, read the bottom of this page: http://ImpeachForPeace.org

Actually, I’m not an US citizen yet either. Just a concerned legal resident who really wishes he had been able to vote in the last election…

Unfortunately, even though this criminal president is hurting more than just his own citizens, only a U.S. citizen can start the impeachment process.
