The state of idiocracy…

I just found the stupidest Facebook group ever. It’s the I Support a 3rd Term for George W. Bush group. Seeing how facebook is primarily a college social network, I suspected that the collective IQ of it’s users must be slightly higher than that of say Myspace. Unfortunately this does not seem to be true, as that group has over 3,140 members.

Yup, over 3k of American college students think that it is a good idea to violate our constitution just cause Dubya is such a cool dude. Sigh… I consider this a failure of out higher education institutions. If college can’t teach one to distinguish facts from propaganda, and think for oneself then what is it good for?

I call this sad state of mind republitardism – the belief that the current administration is infallible, and that anyone who opposes it must be a terrorist sympathizer. It is signified by a low level emotional attachment to political ideas held by the administration, comparable to religious convictions. It may be described as mild retardation, which short circuits the reasoning faculties of the affected individual. Thus republitards cannot be convinced to change their minds by things like logic and facts.

It seems that new breed of republitard adapted to college environment, managing to maintain their student status for several years on end without actually learning anything useful, or expanding their horizons. This is truly disconcerting development.

We have previously assumed that republitardic tribes of the south will remove themselves from human gene pool within next few hundred years due to intensive inbreeding, creationism, evangelicalism and stupid. These assumptions will have to be reevaluated now…

the problem is as long as they play on the religion card, they will have an upper hand in the south.
