Has this ever happened to you? I completely blanked out when trying to punch in the voicemail password on my cell phone. I just could not for the life of me remember the correct combination. No muscle memory, no nothing – it was all blank. I remembered the last 2 numbers, and I roughly knew which numbers were used for the first 4, but I could not remember the sequence. I spent around 40 minutes trying to punch in different combinations to no avail.
The funniest thing? I checked my voicemail 2 hours before this memory lapse, and I had no problem punching it in. WTF?
Fortunately, it all came back to me now. I just grabbed my phone and punched the password with no problems. I also noticed that completely I forgot one number – this is why I could not get the first 4 digits right.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like that? I sometimes forget passwords that I don’t use for a while, but I don’t think I ever blanked on one that I use every day. Bizarre. I think my brain is b0rked.

Happens all the time.
There are some kind of automatic things and memorys, if you try too hard to remember, you’ll forget them :)
I have that problem mostly with person’s names.
thank your subconscious mind ;)

Actually that’s a completely unrelated affliction from which I suffer. I learned to live with it though. :)
Best part is when I get off the phone with someone, and I have no clue who it was – and I need to email them some documents. The secretaries at work already got used to me asking who they just transfered to me. :P
But, I usually do remember names of the people I see every day.
