Sooo… This weekend I’ve been busy experiencing what folks around these parts call “the real life”. This combined with a serious case of lazy lead to depletion of my post queue. That’s sort of why there was no post on Tueaday (in case any of you are keeping track). So while I’m building up my queue again, here is a picture of a toad:
This is just a temporary setback, and regular posting schedule should resume next week. Actually, I might have a post for Friday. This sort of thing may happen again this month due to circumstances beyond my control. It’s nothing bad though – I just happen to be in a wedding of a close family member and I fully expect to be swept up in the premarital hurricane of chaos and destruction that usually accompanies these sort of things. So if I disappear for a few days it means I’m either helping, celebrating, recovering or something among those lines.
And no, I’m not slacking off and playing WoW. Shut up!
You know, I didn’t think you might be slacking off and playing WoW until you mentioned it. ‘methinks you doth protest too much. Might I suggest: http://www.wowdetox.com? :)
Translation: My raiding/guild meeting schedule conflict with blogging.
It’s ok to admit you have a problem. It’s the first step towards recovery. :)
Everyone gets busy and has to prioritize, no worries. I’m just glad you’ve kept at it so long – almost 7 years! (though I only found your blog 3 years ago, in early 2007). Here’s to another 7 years of you providing me with solid thoughtful posts for free :)
@ Steve:
I don’t have a WoW problem. I can quit whenever I want. Really! I can. ;P
But seriously – I have not been playing WoW that much this last two weeks at all. I pretty much just log in, check my auction house stuff, re-queue the junk that was returned and then log off. The biggest thing I have done all this week was to fly to Barrens to catch some Deviant Fish.
@ Rob:
Heh! I’m staying away from real guilds for specifically that reason. I absolutely refuse to allow this game to become a part time job with responsibilities, meetings and raid schedules.
Right now I’m in a fake guild that my brother set up for just the two of us (and potentially a friend or two) just so that we can have a shared guild bank tabs.
Actually this time it was a friend’s bachelor party that ate my weekend.
@ jambarama:
Holly crap! I didn’t even realize I have been doing this for 7 years. Wow! Thanks for reading me for the last 3 years!
Dude wtf man! All I wanted to do was come here and ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD
Great timing actually, I have also been tied up with real life the past week and a half. Didn’t even touch a computer for several days. Crazy. It seems I’m slowly gaining a social life. Which is awesome if it wasn’t for the bar tabs and… certain complicated stuff that comes with it -_-
And yeah, good job doing this for seALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD
sooo not a fake guild. totally a completely serious one! so serious in fact that this is the first and only post i will ever make on your blog! we got 3 members and one of them just happens to be an alt :( go sue me in England
