Intelligent Warming

I don’t know about you but I find this amusing (and relevant to the current political situation):

Intellingent Warming

I think US is the only country in the world in which vast numbers of citizens do not believe in both global warming and evolution. How sad is that?

True - the people responsible for suppressing the global warming research are doing it out of sheer greed. But I’m willing to bet there are vast cohorts of republican voters who whole heartedly buy into that whole “there is no global warming” thing.

Few weeks ago at a gym an older man (in his 60’s) started talking to me about how global arming is a bunch of BS and how he is very educated and has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for decades and he would know if it was caused by people. His argument was: “what happened when the ice age melted, who caused that, it wasn’t us – we didn’t have factories back then. It was caused by nature, it is cyclical.”

Obviously this “very educated” man had no idea about this “minor” event called meteor. I guess it is all about perspectives – what he called very educated, I would refer to as ignorant.

Ok, I didn’t watch the vid cause I’m at work and I have no sound.

But, I think that we do have some slow global climate changes over time. If I remember correctly, I think we had several ice ages come and go in the past.

Of course it does not mean that the greenhouse gases emission is not fucking up our climate right now. I think it has been shown that what is going on right now is above an beyond any normal climate shift that they could predict.
