Lucy Liubot

If you have subscribed to my /dev/random feed you have probably seen this already. If you don’t know about /dev/random - it’s a tumblr to which I post funny or interesting images shamelessly stolen from other places on the web. Whenever I see something amusing, of cool I post it /dev/random. It also integrates my twitter blurbs, flickr photos and del.icio.us bookmarks.

Anyway, here is the pic that grabbed my attention today:

If you are a Futurama fan like me you should have the same reaction: ZOMG! Lucy Liubot! mrgreen

If you haven’t watched Futurama, and don’t get the reference you should be ashamed of yourself, and we shall collectively shun you for 5 minutes. To make the long story short, in one episode Fry gets himself a Lucy Liubot for the specific purpose of making out with it. Now go watch that episode.

In reality, this is work of Joan Charmant. You can find bunch of similar photoshop strangeness on the official website.

That was most likely the aim of this picture. But I love how it seamlessly combines the real picture with the artificial parts. I’m always amazed how much can be done with just the right choice of filters, and skillful hand.

      LOL Chrissy!

Heh… I wonder if Joan Charmant is a Futurama fan, or was this just a coincidence?
