There is no rule checking, so be honest. Here is how I envision the game to go:
- First commenter should post a move with the black pieces
- Second commenter should post a move with white pieces
- Alternate until check-mate
- Once you posted a move with black, you must wait for someone to post another with white and vice versa
- You can switch sides at any time as long as it doesn’t violate rule #4
- If two moves for the same side are posted concurrently, the two authors should discuss the moves agree which should be the “official” one.
This might either be fun, a complete un-playable mess, of a failure. But I guess we will never know until we try. Please let me know if the font’s don’t look correctly in some browsers. As far as I know these are legal Unicode characters, so they should display in any browser that supports Unicode.

If you don’t see the chess pieces, here is what you do. Open your MS Office setup, and choose to change your installation. Click whatever check box they have to allow you to install custom features. Now from the list of components choose:
Office Shared Features -> International Support -> Universal Font
Choose “Run from my computer”.
Alternatively download Arial Unicode MS font and drop it into your Fonts folder. You might need to restart Firefox to see the effect.
