Zune won’t work on Vista! WTF!?

Apparently Zune is not compatible with Vista and the installation program must be run in WinXP SP2 compatibility mode. This makes absolutely no sense to me!

Vista is supposed to be released before the end of the year. How the fuck do you forget to make your iPod killer compatible with your flagship product if their release dates are so close? It’s just plain stupid.

Of course MS Powershell 1.0 (formerly known as Monad) also wont work on Vista (well, ok – it will work with RC1 but not RC2). Which kinda tells me that this is a widespread organizational problem at MS.

Seriously, Microsoft is the only company in the world that can repeatedly shoot itself in the foot for several months, then shit on it’s customers just prior the release date, ship out half-assed, broken product that does not work out of the box, and still turn a huge profit..

The only way I’m ever using Vista is if it comes as OEM on a new computer, and I need it to play the new cool games. Otherwise, I’m gonna stay away from it.

(hehe.. i just had a mental image of Mr Monopoly from the board game being run out of town by an angry mob)
