I have noticed a trend, which from now on I shall refer to as the The Norris Rule:
- Any poll with a write in option will include Chuck Norris.
- Chuck Norris wins every poll he appears in. No exceptions
1st Corollary to the Norris Rule: You can replace Chuck Norris with any other popular internet meme – the rule still applies. For example here is a poll where “I like turtles” wins despite being irrelevant and off topic.
2nd Corollary to the Norris Rule: Chuck Norris may lose a poll to a sufficiently popular internet meme, especially since the popularity of “Chuck Norris Facts” has been slowly losing it’s memetic value.
3rd Corollary to the Norris Rule: If the poll involves picking a name for a building, bridge, monument, etc then Stephen Colbert will always win even if Chuck Norris appears as a write-in option.
4th Corollary to the Norris Rule: A write-in option of a memetic nature is very likely to gain over 9000 votes.

Not if My Buddy Leo has anything to say about it:

I can’t in clear conscience vote Republican. If I had to choose party affiliation I’d say I’m a Libertarian because I agree roughly with 80-90% of their platform. I will be voting Dem – because I think they might start steering this country back to normal – away from this insane neo-con power trip we’ve been on for the last 8 years. :P
Then again, I can seriously imagine no one worse to hold the office than Bush and his puppet handlers.
Chuck is my hero.

Btw, is it just me or did the Chuck Norris thing is out of season now? I don’t see that many Chuck memes floating around these days. :)
